I’ve been dreaming of a pair of gardening overalls, so I finally decided to make my own! They have become my backyard staple. Every. Single. Time I go out into my backyard, I put these on. My family is already SICK OF ME!! But, I’m so excited to wear these every time I step into my garden!

The fabric is the stunning Minerva Exclusive Magic Garden Organic Cotton Canvas. As soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew it was the perfect choice for this project. The vibrant, yet whimsical design felt so right for creating something both functional & cutesy.
THE PATTERN: Know Me 2083
THE FIT: - I cut a size 12 tweaking the waistband because it was a little small for my waist. In addition, I widened the legs to ensure they would fit over my boots.
THE FABRIC: I chose a cotton canvas from Minerva fabrics. with just a little bit of stretch. There is absolutely no stretch, but the fabric is breathable and sturdy, perfect for whatever I may get into.
THE INSTRUCTIONS: They were super easy to follow along with. And since the Know Me patterns have video instructions on Youtube provided by the pattern designer. I love to watch along after reading through the pattern instructions.
THE STYLING: The overalls are the style. I just grab the first shirt in site and throw on a pair of boots and that's it.
I chose Know Me 2083 as the pattern for these overalls, and it couldn’t have been more fitting. Perhaps it was Aaronica’s floral print on the pattern envelope, or maybe it was the charming ruffle detail that drew me in—but either way, the design is perfect for my gardening adventures.

The Final Result? Dream garden attire
As I was trying these on during the process of making them, I was so happy. How could I not? Just look at this fabric. I recently wore them out to my local gardening store and got lots of compliments. And I was oh so happy to say, "Thanks, I made them!"
LIKES/DISLIKES: There is a faux fly front, that's a little unnecessary, but since there's no actual zipper, I won't complain about it.
REPEAT?: Not sure. I dont usually wear overalls. But if there is ever a need or if my current pair gets damaged over overused, I won't hesitate to make another.
